Statement

By having the opportunity to capture surreal ideas in physical permanence with sculpture, I have no limits in my work when it comes to justifying ideas. My work deals with time and memory and how we perceive the differences in the tangible traces left behind. By casting found objects and the human form, my sculptures tell a story of a history I create in my choices. It is important to me to tell the story of the relationship between the abstract imagination and our palpable knowledge of physicality in objects. Within this relationship, I'm finding new ways to understand the shared space we hold with objects and how proximity plays an important role in everyday life. Only in sculpture could I find this specific outlet for my visual language.
